Kanye West’s new album Jesus is King, which was previously announced to be released this Friday (September 27), has reportedly been pushed back. Jesus Is King will be West’s ninth studio album and follow’s the release of his 2018 album Ye, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Charts.

Despite his wife Kim Kardashian sharing the track list for Jesus is King in August, as well as continuing to share teasers for the album’s release, journalist Joe Coscarelli, who works for Variety and The New York Times, claims sources have said that Kanye’s new album will be postponed.

Coscarelli tweeted:

Jesus Is King will include the track “Water,” which West already performed during his Sunday service set at Coachella in April. Along with “Water,” “Garden” will also be part of Jesus is King, in which Kanye collaborated with several artists including Ty Dolla $ign and Ant Clemins. And there are reportedly more artists with whom Kanye worked with on the project: Tekashi 6ix9ine, Timbaland, XXXTentacion, Migos, 2 Chainz, YNW Melly, Tee Grizzley and Lil Wayne.

While Kanye West hasn’t confirmed or denied reports regarding the official release date for Jesus Is King, we can only hope the project arrives sooner rather than later.
