Young Thug and Elton John Photo Fuels Collaboration Rumors

During an interview at the end of last year, Sir Elton John admitted that he had not only heard of Young Thug but actually really liked his music. Rumours of a collaboration quickly followed. While nothing has been confirmed, a recent snap on Instagram could be proof that the pop legend and Hip Hop star are set to hit the studio together sooner than we think.

The two artists recently met up in person in Atlanta, taking a photo together and further fueling the hope for new music from the unlikely duo. Earlier this month, the two spoke over FaceTime which lead to John sending over an instrumental for his 1972 hit ‘Rocket Man’. Thug has reportedly recorded a song using the instrumental.

This isn't the first time Elton has aligned himself with Hip Hop. The Empty Sky artists accompanied Eminem during a performance of "Stan" during the 2001 Grammy Awards. A sample of his 1971 hit, "Indian Sunset", also appeared on Tupac Shakur’s 2005 hit single “Ghetto Gospel”.

Hopefully, we get to hear something soon.
