Tweets of the Week

This week's top action on Twitter has seen awe at the Olympics Closing Ceremony, vexation at Eastenders, excitement following our Liverpool announcement and... the breaking of Grammy Awards. Ouch. So where to begin?

We simply couldn't resist making this our Instagram of The Week:

After a sterling performance at the Closing Ceremony on Friday, Tinie Tempah did what any other Spice Girls fan boy would do; nab the opportunity to have a picture with the girls but “accidentally” cut off the majority of Posh Spice's face. #Epic.

Jessie J made like a member of the synchronised swimming team in this blinged-up leotard - but would she rather be on the racing track with Usain Bolt?

Looks like Emeli Sandé enjoyed her time to shine at the star-studded event too:

That or she's just realised she's on a weird slow-moving newspaper covered truck. Awkward.

In non-sporting news, our Food Related Tweet of the Week comes to us from Jessie Ware

We don't know Jessie, why does your coconut water taste like an Italian pasta dish today? Oh. It's not a joke? We were waiting for the punchline...

We've noticed a trend lately with our Twitter stars and their love of Eastenders. This week getting on his soapbox is Wretch 32 - now Shirley, listen to your Uncle Wretch...

The exciting announcement that this year's MOBO Awards will be held in Liverpool, made Twitter go a bit crazy:

And look how cute JLS are, they celebrated their 4th Birthday this week, and Marvin Tweeted this newspaper article from his childhood - move over Mystic Meg, there's a new psychic in town!

Time for Kanye's Thought Of The Week now:

Brilliant.

And finally, our Tweet of The Week goes to Angela Hunte, who co-wrote the Jay-Z and Alicia Keys hit 'Empire State of Mind':

Angela, we really feel for you, but put it this way, that's one more broken Grammy than we'll ever have!

More next week...
