Track of the Week: AlunaGeorge - Your Drums, Your Love
We've had our eyes on producer and singer duo AlunaGeorge since their debut double A-side release 'Analyser' / 'We Are Chosen' back in May 2011 - and to watch them blossom into something so complete and wonderful has been a pleasure quite unique.
New track 'Your Drums, Your Love' is their best yet, begging for the repeat button before its final chimes have even begun to fade; it manages to combine the enticing structure of 90s classic RnB, mixing it with something so very 2012. George Reid's production highlights the natural glide in Aluna Francis' vocal, and the sway of the bridge is a tough one to shake off. We are tipping their much-anticipated LP for very big things.
AlunaGeorge are where 2012 is at - both gleamingly 'now' and clearly infatuated with their influences, a truly rare gem.
