The MOBO Awards 2009 Nominations Launch Party

Yesterday evening MOBO were down at the luxurious Mayfair hotel in London’s West End to celebrate the release of this years MOBO Award 2009 nominations. The turn out was HUGE!! 

By 6pm the show was under way and running smoothly. Everybody’s glasses were topped with Champaign on ice and their bellies full of tasty Jerk Chicken and Beef and Vegetable Patties courtesy of ‘Cottons’ Caribbean restaurant, which went down a treat if I do say so myself.

The night was hosted by the lovely Reggie Yates, who kept the crowd entertained with his exceptional charm. But of course once JLS hit the stage to announce this year nominations the whole crowd or should I say the ladies in the crowd, couldn’t keep their composure for the four humble lads.

Amongst the buzzing crowd were many influential artists to the UK music scene including N-dubz, Kano, Wiley, and the beautiful Miss Beverly Knight who was looking absolutely stunning! The flawless boys were also chilling and could not be torn away from their VIP exclusive party bags. It was definitely an event you didn’t want to miss out on!!!

Also on the night we had performances from rapper Bashy and H boogie with their brand new single “Your Wish is my Command” followed by hot newcomer Jade Ewen who definitely tore up the stage with her latest single “My Man”, proving that she has got the stage presence to accompany her amazing voice.
Eye candy JLS have been nominated for Best Single and Best UK Newcomer but for the full list you can check it out here on our website…So get voting!

MOBO certainly wished we could have shared such an incredible night with you MOBO fan but never fear, MOBO.com and MOBO:TV were there and caught all the action! We'll have some EXCLUSIVE footage of the evenings festivities in the coming days.
