Fantastic news! In a last week decision by government officials rapper Snoop Dogg will have his four year ban on entering the U.K finally lifted.
Snoop has been banned on visiting the U.K since an incident back in 2006 when a fight broke out among his entourage in a Heathrow airport lounge. As a result Snoop had to cancel his planned tour with rapper P Diddy the following year. The recent overturn of the ban means that Snoop will for the first time in four years be allowed to step on U.K soil. Snoop has in the last few years used his public image to take a stance against violence and gun crime drawing from personal experience to help change the path of people’s lives who have been affected by such issues.
Could this mean a U.K tour for Snoop in the not too distant future? Who knows, perhaps we may see this very talented artist at this year’s MOBO Awards? Indeed in 2007 MOBO fought hard to have Snoop granted access and we got pretty close. In any case we will be delighted to welcome Snoop Dogg back with us. Watch this space!
