Skepta Wants The World To'Make Peace Not War'

Joseph Junior Adenuga AKA Skepta, Tottenham born and bred, is back on the UK Grime scene with his new single ‘Make Peace Not War’. Combining ‘Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)’ by C+C Music Factory with vocals from former Weather Girls soul singer Martha Walsh, Skepta has yet again put his stamp on the music industry.

His up and coming album ‘The Honeymoon’ is due out in Summer 2012 and, following his New Years’ hit ‘Hold On’, you’ll be sure to hear a lot more from the rap artist later this year. Not only does this tune bring a well-known bass line that gets your foot tapping, after finger clicking and head banging you soon find yourself immersed in what is going to be a massive hit for Skepta.

Making his name in the Boy Better Know record label with the likes of his brother JME, Wiley and Shorty, Skepta soon rose through the ranks and found himself with three hits in the UK Top 40 Singles Chart, with ‘Rescue Me’ being the most triumphant at number 14. He has been a key figure in making the mainstream listener familiar with the grime scene and has over 4 million views on his best song on YouTube. Not only working for himself, but writing lyrics for Tinchy Stryder, N-Dubz and Chipmunk, Skepta is able to promote his material across many audiences both underground and mainstream. He has also emerged from the UK as one of the most popular grime artists in 2011, releasing his third studio album ‘Doin’ It Again’ and doing two nationwide headline tours. Making an appearance at Glastonbury and performing alongside P Diddy at Wembley, it is clear his presence in the world of music is only getting stronger and stronger.

‘Make Peace Not War’ will be released on the 29th April 2012 by 3 Beat/All Around The World having already premiered on Mistajam’s Radio One show.
