3. Eminem’s label loses royalties appeal!
Eminem's record label Universal has lost an appeal in a long-running dispute with the rapper's former publishing company FBT Productions! The ruling, which found that FBT is entitled to 50% of Universal's revenue from the 'Love The Way You Lie' star's download sales, leaves Universal facing a multi-million dollar royalty’s bill. FBT Productions signed Eminem in 1995, prior to his rise to fame. When the rapper joined Universal, the deal included a 12% royalty to FBT for "records sold". As no rate was stated in the contract for downloads, FBT claimed that it was entitled to half of Universal's digital receipts. An initial hearing in 2009 ruled in the international record label's favor, but an appeal by FBT has seen this overturned. Universal Music has announced its intention to challenge the ruling.
4. Amy Winehouse splits with boyfriend?!
Amy Winehouse has allegedly called time on her romance with new boyfriend Reg Traviss following reports that he cheated on her! The Sun claims that the Back To Black singer dumped the film director after a 'blazing row' over his supposed relationship with his ex-girlfriend burlesque dancer, Raven Isis Holt. Raven had revealed that she was still sleeping with Reg when he was supposedly dating Wino and even suggested that Traviss had told her he was 'just friends' with Amy. A pal of Winehouse's said: "She hasn't spoken to Reg since and she's told everyone that it's over. She's pretty cut up about it, she was serious about him. Amy is confused and vulnerable." The Rehab hit maker was also reportedly spotted crying in the London pub owned by her parents not long after her fight with Reg.
