2. Wyclef ineligible for Haitian Presidency!
Following all of our coverage on Wyclef’s bid to become the President of Haiti, it was recently announced that the 40-year-old musician will not be allowed to run for president of the impoverished country. The commission did not express the reason why Wyclef failed to meet the eligibility requirements. Haiti requires presidential candidates to have resided in the country for five consecutive years, own property, and have no other citizenship but Haitian. Oh wells, maybe next time Clef!
3. New Music Video: John Legend & The Roots feat Common & Melanie Fiona
John Legend and The Roots go back in time in the uplifting video for “Wake Up Everybody,” their soulful remake of Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes’ 1975 classic “Wake Up Everybody” from their covers album ‘Wake Up!’ (Sept. 21)! The throwback clip, directed by Gil Green, also stars a funky Common and Melanie Fiona, who help deliver their friends’ message of change. Check out the video below!

Missy Elliott has announced that she is returning to the music scene! According to Hip Hop N' More, the rapper, who was scheduled to release her new album three years ago, has been reported to be releasing an upcoming single entitled 'Blow Ya Whistle'. Elliott's forthcoming seventh studio album is titled ‘Block Party’. Yaaay! Some new Missy! We love us some Missy so cant wait for the new album to drop!
5. Faith Evans arrested drunk driving!
After giving you guys the track listing for Faith Evans new album ‘Something About Faith’ news has now surfaced that she was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence! The 37-year-old stopped at a routine drunk driving checkpoint, where police detected alcohol on her breath and arrested the recording artist on suspicion of driving under the influence! This isn’t the first time that Evans has had a run-in with the law on account of using a substance. In 2004, the L.A.-based vocalist and her husband Todd Russaw were arrested for cocaine and marijuana possession in Atlanta. Evans is currently promoting her sixth album ‘Something About Faith’, slated to hit stores October 5 via E1 Music. Let’s hope it does not affect promo for the new album, all we can do is keep the faith!
