1. Mutya Buena announces Camden album!
Mutya Buena has announced details of a new album celebrating London's Camden market! The former Sugababe will release ‘Sound Of Camden’, which features 11 covers of classic punk-rock songs, later this month. A press release states that the record will "capture Camden's unique ambiance and the album will be an ideal memento for the millions of people who visit one of London's best-loved locations from all over the world each year." Buena is quoted as saying: "I am connected to the market and now I am singing songs that my mother loves as well, it's amazing!" Buena's vocals feature on six of the LP's tracks, which include Nivarna's 'Come As You Are' and a cover of The Pixies' 'Hey'. ‘Sound Of Camden’ is out September 22. We love Camden, we love Mutya, we can’t wait!!
2. Rihanna gets waxed up!
Rihanna has been immortalised in wax at Madame Tussauds wax museum in Washington, D.C! The pop star’s uncanny wax likeness appears on display in the nation’s capital alongside wax doubles of President Barack Obama, Madonna, Rosa Parks, Denzel Washington, and others. Rihanna is currently in Hawaii shooting her first major film role in Universal Pictures’ ‘Battleship’. “HAWAII…Hawaii…hawaii……who wouldn’t want to work here for 2 weeks,” she tweeted!
3. JLS team up with Shontelle for US debut!
After struggling to make a mark with their initial US promotional push, British chart-toppers JLS have joined forces with Shontelle for what is being billed as their first Stateside single. Aston, JB, Oritse, and Marvin are set to release the Shontelle assisted ‘Ay Mama’ to US radio on September 14th. The cut was produced by The Runners, who are also said to be the producers behind Rihanna’s new single ‘Cheers’. We look forward to hearing it; sounds like it should be a scorcher!
4. New Music Video: Cee Lo – ‘F**k You’
Cee Lo gets in touch with his inner child in the video for his unexpected viral hit “F**k You,” the lead single off his upcoming album ‘The Lady Killer’. Throwing it back to the ’50s, the ATLien documents his misfires with women from his childhood throughout his adolescence, enlisting young actors to reenact his unfortunate luck with the ladies. 5. The Saturdays’ confirm Flo Rida single!
The Saturdays have revealed more details about their collaboration with Flo Rida!
It was reported yesterday that the rapper has worked with the girl group; just weeks after he stopped them scoring their first number single for a second time. In a message on Twitter, Una Healy confirmed that Flo Rida will appear on their next single 'Higher'. "So excited about our next single 'Higher' feat [Flo Rida]! He does an amazing job on it!!" she wrote. Responding, Flo Rida said: "Get ready me an The Saturdays [coming] to a stage near you!!" The original version of 'Higher' appears on the group's mini-album ‘Headlines!’. A release date for the single has not yet been announced.
