Last night the MOBO team made a trip down to the launch of Young London: Into Music, a youth music project that helps young people into all aspects of the music industry including working for record labels, publishers, promoters, broadcasters, producers and artists; in addition to instilling self-confidence and professional work experience to all its youth contributors.
Performing on the night was a real mix of up and coming, as well as established talent within the U.K music industry. Princess Nyah, Maverick Sabre, Maxta, Bigga Bloco and two time MOBO Award winner Shola Ama all graced the stage and demonstrated the range and depth of talent in British Urban music. We caught up with Shola Ama after her set and fresh off the back of recording some brand new material.
