MOBO blogger Danny Taylor conducts an interview with Aaron Evers, Mina Poli and Michelle McKenna which focuses on their new single 'Solar System' and their up and coming new album.

@ConradFrain "Why haven't we heard from you in so long?" Aaron had a family member pass away and needed some time out and since then. We have been working on the new album and making plans with management and the new label.

A question for Michelle, what kind of songs could we find on your iPod?

A bit of everything! Some bashment some soul bit of dance and a lot of house!! And I love R&B

A question for Aaron, have you any hidden talents apart from music?

Music is my life. I love writing songs and singing so those are my biggest talents. It’s all I think about 24-7.

A question for Mina, what's your guilty pleasure?

Ohh I love a bit of chocolate I do.

Do you still class yourselves as 'three-piece bassline group' or have you evolved your music genre?

We have definitely evolved from the bassline days moving with the times and music is a part of being a good artist!

Before a live performance, do you have any warm up rituals to keep your focus?

If we got a dance routine then definitely but we tend to just go for it! Oh and sound check is a must!

With your new single coming out, have you got any new songs on the way?

We have got an album full of material for you! You are gonna really like the album there is something for everyone!

What do you hope to accomplish this year?

We want to get our album out and be touring by the end of the year!

When the single 'what's it gonna be' was recorded did you expect it to be that big?

We never expected it to be as big as what it was but it was an amazing experience and I enjoyed every second!

What has been the most memorable moment you have accomplished together?

I'd say being on tour together we have had some amazing times and having a number 2 in the UK charts for 3 weeks was the best feeling EVER!

Which artists/groups give you inspiration?

(Michelle) Me personally Aaliyah was always a role model with songs like 'Age Ain't Nothing But A Number'.

What's the strangest encounter any of you have had with a fan?

When a fan come backstage at one of our shows she was just shaking uncontrollably it was a bit dawnting. I kept telling her we were normal people like her.

Your new single 'Solar System', what is the song about?

It's about bringing together everyone around the world and solar system for one big massive party.

Who would you love to collaborate with and why?

Kanye West and Black Eyed Peas as they are amazing. Also David Guetta!

And finally, what can we expect from you in the future?

Amazing music.
