Last week the MOBO Team, along with a few lucky MOBO.com competition winners, made our way down to Koko in Camden to see R&B megastar Usher perform on The Album Chart Show. This was Usher's first trip to the U.K in a while and when he took to the stage he was greeted by an eager and excited crowd made up of some of his most loyal and diehard fans. Opening with “You Make Me Wanna”, the track that was his very first hit back in 1997, Usher played a forty five minute set of material from across his 13 year career. A double MOBO Award winner back in 2001 and now with six studio albums under his belt, Usher now returns with his eagerly awaited new album Raymond Vs Raymond.
Having lost none of his charisma and stage presence, Usher’s Album Chart Show performance served as a reminder of just how many great hits he has had. Joined by an entourage of backing dancers, he launched into renditions of crowd favorites including “You Remind Me”, “Hey Daddy”, “Yeah” and his current huge hit single “OMG”. With his distinctively flawless vocal delivery he proved why he is still one of the slickest R&B artists in the game. An amazing voice, a great dancer and an all round entertainer, Usher is back!
You can see Usher's performance on The Album Chart Show on June 19th at 10.00 on T4.
