Mary Mary: Go Get It Album Review
The Grammy Gospel Gong-winners, who celebrate hits such as Shackles (Praise you) which went to number 5 in the UK Charts, grace our iPods and play lists with their latest album release entitled Go Get it. Keeping it classy with all things progressive, the Sisters also have a new reality TV series, ‘Mary Mary’, following their individual and collective career and family pursuits.
The album is a stage-piece worthy of applause to the songstresses and their strategic method of song selection for this remix album. With each chosen track painting a chronological image of prayerful requests, receipts of blessings and testimonies of goodness from the big man upstairs- thought provoking melodies, an influx of interactive sounds and clean-cut production, come together to form this re-presentation of Gospel goodies.
With collaborations from Gospel geniuses such as Kirk Franklin and Keirra ‘Kiki’ Sheard, and further support from R ‘n’ B, favourites Destiny’s Child, Go get it is set to have us all hand-raising, head-bobbing and hip-swaying in preparation for the greatly delayed British Summer ahead!
