1. JLS’ Aston dating a girl band singer!

Aston Merrygold has reportedly begun dating former glamour model and Miss Millionaire singer Madison Welch! The couple, who were recently introduced by mutual friends, are said to have immediately hit it off and have since been spotted together multiple times in London. "They make a really good couple," a source told The Sun. "They just get on really well. Aston has been telling friends how cool she is." It was recently reported that JLS band mate Marvin Humes and Saturdays singer Rochelle Wiseman were working together to find a girlfriend for Merrygold! Aww how cute!

2. Chris Brown praised in progress hearing!

Chris Brown has reportedly been praised by the judge overseeing his probation stemming from his assault on ex-girlfriend Rihanna! The R&B star was sentenced to five years probation and six months of community labour last year after attacking Rihanna before the Grammy Awards. He was also ordered to undergo domestic violence counseling.
According to The AP, the 21-year-old appeared in court for a progress update hearing with Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg yesterday. The Judge reportedly told the singer that he is "doing very well" and "doing a great job" on probation, and that she had been given good feedback from his domestic violence counseling classes. Good on ya Chris!

3. Usher confirmed to perform at next months’ VMAs!

Usher has been confirmed to perform at the VMAs next month in Los Angeles! The OMG singer will appear on stage on the big night on September 12 and will no doubt pull off some of his signature dance moves. Performers already announced are Kanye West, Eminem, Justin Bieber, Florence and the Machine and B.o.B. Also confirmed to appear are Justin Timberlake and new Spiderman star Andrew Garfield, who’ll present a gong on the night!

4. X Factor bans auto tune!

The X Factor has announced that they will stop using Auto-Tune software to enhance contestants' performances. Programme makers admitted they had adjusted some performances in the final edits of last weekend's show (August 21), causing a debate over the validity of the talent contest. However, a spokesperson for the show explained that any technology used was to eliminate hiss or background noises, and not to enhance vocals. An X Factor spokesperson has now told BBC News that the technology will now not be used at all as the series progresses. "There will be no Auto-Tune in the audition shows or for competitive performances on live shows," they explained. The move has led some commentators to suggest that the Auto-Tune controversy could have been drummed up by the show itself to create hype around the start of the new series.

5. Jenifer Lopez eyeing Kanye collaboration!

Jennifer Lopez has revealed that she is keen to collaborate with Kanye West! The singer and actress, who is gearing up for the release of her comeback album, answered a series of questions about her future plans via her Twitter page. Asked if she would like to work with West, she replied: "It'd b so fun to work [with] him. Kanye - when can you write THAT song for me?"..Hmm interesting, it could either be a major hit or horrible fail! We’ll just have to wait and see!
