1. Jimi Hendrix London flat to be opened for public viewing!

Jimi Hendrix's former central London flat is to be opened up to the public to commemorate the 40th anniversary of his death! The two-floor apartment at 23 Brook Street will be opened as part of the ‘Hendrix In Britain’ exhibition, which runs in the same building from today until November 7.

The flat itself will be open between September 15-26. Hendrix moved into the flat with his girlfriend Kathy Etchingham in 1968, and spent time there in 1969. Although it has since been used as an office for the Handel House Museum (composer George Frideric Handel occupied 25 Brook Street from around 1723 until his death), Hendrix's flat will be stripped of all administrative equipment and will feature a number of rare exhibits, including his clothes, hand-written lyrics, posters and one of his 'Flying V' guitars.

2. Rihanna’s new single title!

Def Pen Radio has exclusively learned the lead single from Rihanna‘s yet to be titled album will be called ‘Only Girl’! The record is a dance record, “Looks like no more dark music, back to Umbrella Rihanna” from the source who heard the dance track. There is no set date for when ‘Only Girl’ will be released, but information on Rihanna’s new album is coming in rapidly. Looking forward to it already, dance music does seem to work better for good ol’ Rih Rih!

3. JLS in studio with Swizz Beats!

JLS‘label is sparing no expense when it comes to group’s sophomore LP, if the producers they are working with are any indication! The British Pop group confirmed that they are set to work with hit-makers Swizz Beats and Claude Kelly for the as-yet untitled album, which is due to hit stores in November. Swizz, real name Kasseem Dean, has produced smashes for the likes of Beyonce and Alicia Keys, while Kelly has crafted hits for Whitney Houston, Fantasia, and more. It is also believed their latest material will be fused with select tracks from their self-titled debut to feature on the US edition of LP – which is being released by heavyweight Pop label Jive. It seems JLS are set to do big things this year!

4. Ciara’s ‘Basic Instinct’ pushed back again!

Ciara’s ‘Basic Instinct’ LP has been pushed back again! The album’s release, which had only recently been rescheduled for a 3rd time until October 5th, has now been bumped further away to October 19th. However, reports have already begun to surface that even that date might be changed to October 26th. Ciara’s label is expected to make an official announcement regarding the record later this week. Let’s hope so because we can’t wait for CiCi’s album!

5. Sugababes to launch fragrances

It has been announced that The Sugababes are launching their own range of fragrances! The group, who are currently working on their new album, will launch the perfumes in time for Christmas. Each member will have an individual scent, called Tempt, Tease and Touch. Jade Ewen tweeted: "So EXCITED!!!! Just seen our final mock-ups for our fragrances! Tempt, tease and touch! Can't wait for you guys to smell them! (sic)" Hmmmm, interesting!
