R&B/Pop songstress Jaya burst onto the scene in 2009 with her floor filling debut single ‘DJ Do It Again’. The track reached number 2 on the MTV Dance chart and Number 3 on the BBC Asian Music Charts whilst launching her as a solo artist in the UK. After a brief hiatus Jaya is back with a darker, grittier and edgier new look and sound to accompany her new single ‘Outa Control’. The new track also features descendant of hip-hop royalty Young Simmons of ‘Runs House’ fame and MOBO recommended act for 2011 Wretch 32.

Jaya recently dropped by MOBO HQ to give us an exclusive acoustic performance of the new single. We also took the opportunity to get to know her a little better and find out the inspiration behind the music.
