Jay Z Vs Sugababes - 'Let the Battle Commence'
Three young and fiery ladies hailing from London versus the undisputed Godfather of hip hop Jay Z. Who goes to number 1? You decide!
This week has seen Sugababes go head to head with none other than Jay Z himself in the bid to reach the number 1 position in the charts. Up until yesterday Sugababes with their new single ‘Get Sexy’ were ahead with cds sales whilst Jay Z was ahead in digital sales with his new single ‘Run this town’. However today Jay Z is comfortably sitting on the number 1 position overall, proving that this, really is, a battle of the titans!
If Sugababes reach the top this will be their sixth number 1 in the UK more so if Jay Z reaches the top spot this will be his first ever UK chart topper success. Following closely behind in the charts is Dizzee Rascal with his single ‘Holiday’ and David Guetta featuring Akon with ‘Sexy Chick’.
It is easy to see that the positions in the charts will continue to change in the next couple of days but at the end of this week, we’ll know who’s taken the gold. MOBO is loving both tracks at the moment but let us know what you think!
