Hackney vs. Harlem

Hackney vs. Harlem

A talent show like no other lands at Hackney Empire this Saturday evening, as Hackney and Harlem go head to head to find the next superstar singer. There can be only one King or Queen, and only one Nation will win.

Out of thousands of entries, both teams have put forward four talented singers for the sing-off. Judging proceedings will be Hackney’s very own chart topping band Rudimental, Black Butter Records' CEO Henry Village and former head of MTV Base Jasmine Dotiwala. Comedian and Choice FM DJ Kojo and our very own Kanya King MBE complete the panel of five, all keeping their eyes out for that special performance.

A live text vote will be in place on the night to find out the overall winner. The show will be streamed live to the Apollo Theatre in New York so our US friends won’t miss a thing.

If you want to support the UK contingent - Paul Rajaeegaram (24), Jermain Jackman (17), Jessica Symonds (21) and Luke Burr (16) - then get yourself down to Hackney Empire on Saturday 14 July, from 8pm.

Tickets range from £10 to £25, and are available from Hackney Empire's official website.
