I was running late, was tired and hadn't gotten into the concert mood as my mates had hoped. I was simply chilled and enjoying the Wednesday afternoon, grabbing a drink, a few snacks and catching up on my tunes.
Around me however was a world away in a place I now call Gleetopia; posters, banners, matching T-shirts and ones that spell stuff out like in that High School Musical Movie. People were well in the mood and I was well out of place. As we bustled into our seats the opening act started, yes 'act'. No band or singer but a dance group called the LXD (Legion of eXtraordinary Dancers) that told a story through their moves. At first you think, can this be a show? Something you keep watching, minute after minute? But I soon found myself ignoring my mates offers of chocolate (shock horror) and staring at a group of people who moved like you THINK you move when you got your favourite outfit on out at the club.

If this didn't put me in the party spirit enough then the next event definitely did! Cheerleaders! Yup, that's right, we got our very own cheerios entertaining us and revving us up, they had the crowd screaming and hyped and none of us could wait, including a very awkward and very excitable me.
Soon enough there was a noise, unmistakable really. It was the lovely "dodododobah" tune from the series, the place went crazy, I went crazy and the concert started. I won't bore you with the play list, or my favourites (Puck's Fat Bottomed Girls, Artie's Safety Dance and every other part when someone was on stage) I'll just say this, they rocked it and are welcome back whenever they want to come back, the sooner the better please!
It was nice to hear song after song, real voices, big smiles and we even got a talking to by Sue and Will!! It was a real Americano fest, they had T-shirt cannons, cheerios and those adorable accents. T'was beautiful, and half way through they made up for the fact that Quinn Fabray (Dianna Agron) wasn't performing when non other than Gwyneth Paltrow herself stepped on stage to show us her moves and voice to Cee Lo's 'Forget you'. I was freaking, arms everywhere, voice croaking, even my mates had to take a slight step away, understandably.
As a whole the concert showed us why these are people we should support and characters we love, whether its Brittany's dance moves (HOT), Arties cutey Patooty face, Rachael's awesomeness, Finn's manly height (swoon worthy), Kurts swishing legs, Santana's attitude, Tina's smile, Mikes moves, Sam's Hair, Mercedes' pure perfection (not that I have favourites or anything....) Or Pucks bad-ass'ness, this isn't something to miss. So next time make sure y'all get your tickets nice an early.
BTW did I mention the Dalton Academy Warblers where there, yup, the WARBLERS!!! Swoon, swoon, swoon with a hint of faint. I do believe Kurt's got a fight on his hands for this one, and it comes in the thousands.

The day was perfect and fantastic end to exams! The best thing? On one side was a 16 year old, the other a pregnant lady with her husband (who totes screamed for Puck :'D) and in front? Oh, just a few grans, that knew every word! Let's face it people, Glee are taking over the world, and I am happy to be on the band wagon!
The only downer was that they didn't sing Trouty Mouth... My favourite song of the series......
This concert definitely gets the NJ stamp of approval. Money well spent!
