Lovebox's Urban Collective

Lovebox Festival is back and has an abundance of excellent acts playing across the three days that will please even the fussiest of guests. The event is held in London’s Victoria Park and is due to take place on Friday 16th July to Sunday 18th July to a packed out crowd of some of the countries hippest music lovers.

The selection of artists includes an ample mix of urban artists including MOBO winners Dizzee Rascal and Tim Westwood, alongside up-and-coming acts such as Fugitive, Mz Bratt and Griminal.

Dizzee is set to take to the main stage on Friday in a headline slot that will see him set the precedent for the ensuing weekend. Mark Ronson and the Business INTL are the main support to art-rockers Roxy Music on Saturday and will be treating the audience to the sounds of forthcoming album ‘Record Collection’. Whilst icon and pop legend Grace Jones will be wrapping things up on Sunday in what is sure to be an impressive end to London’s most talked about festival.

The influential and unbeatable Grandmaster Flash will be hosting Rizla’s 'Invisible Players touring van of DJ delights' on the Saturday, featuring industry veteran Jazzie B (of Soul II Soul fame.) If you are one of the lucky few who have purchased VIP tickets, soul diva Jocelyn Brown will be playing a special performance backstage to the privileged few.

Other urban artists to watch out over the course of the festival are chart fiends Shy FX and Chace & Status, former MOBO nominee and Radio 1 favourite Mistajam alongside the likes of DJ Smutlee with his Ghetto, Bassline, Baltimore and Club mixes. If this isn’t enough for your urban ears, Hip Hop Karaoke is coming to Lovebox on the Saturday to entertain the masses, whilst newcomer ROX will also be treating the audience to her blend of pop, gospel and soul on the Main Stage.
