Edward Enninful becomes the first ever black MALE editor of British Vogue
After Alexandra Shulman stepped down as editor of British Vogue back in January, there was great speculation on who could possibly take on the coveted role. Well, now we have an answer! This morning (April 10) the publication announced Edward Enninful OBE, the British fashion stylist and current Creative and Fashion Director at America’s W magazine, will replace Shulman effective 1st August 2017.
This is HUGE news as this also means that Enninful will be the first black male Editor at the title.
Enninful, 45, has a rich fashion CV, having been appointed Fashion Director at British title i-D in 1991 (at the age of just 19) and worked extensively with both American and Italian Vogues throughout the 2000s.
