




1. Corinne Bailey Rae and Dizzee Rascal lead Mercury nominees!
Dizzee Rascal and Corrine Bailey Rae are among this year's Barclaycard Mercury Prize nominees! It is the third nomination for Dizzee, who won in 2003 with his debut album ‘Boy in da Corner’. Also up for the £20,000 prize, which is voted for by a panel of critics and music industry staff, are offerings from The xx, Paul Weller and Biffy Clyro. "This year’s Mercury list includes musicians from all stages of their careers and from contrasting parts of the British Isles," said chair of judges Simon Frith. The winner will be announced by Jools Holland on September 7. Speech Debelle scooped last year's prize for her debut album ‘Speech Therapy’, beating off competition from La Roux and Florence and the Machine. The full list of 2010 Mercury Prize nominations are:

2. New music video: Kano ‘Upside Music’ ft Michelle Breeze
“Upside” is taken from Kano‘s forthcoming 4th album ‘Method To The Maadness’ which is due to drop on the 30th August 2010. The song features vocals by South African born Michelle Breeze of recently formed band Why Why Peaches whilst Craigie Dodds helms the production. Peep the video below!
3. Eminem and Rihanna are set to begin shooting the video for ‘Love the Way you Lie’!
Eminem and Rihanna will reportedly team up to shoot their video to the song 'Love The Way You Lie'! According to director Joseph Kahn, the pair, who recorded the track for the rapper's ‘Recovery’ album, are speculated to film the video on July 21.
Kahn announced on Twitter: "Got off a call. Emergency music video. Gonna write and turn in a treatment in three hours to shoot asap. Video is gonna happen. Lots of work to do now. Video is awarded. Starts shooting Tuesday. Eminem & Rihanna. Off we go!” We can’t wait; it’s an absolutely dynamite collaboration!
4. Drakes' new video for ‘Fancy’ is dedicated to women!
Drake has said that he wants the video for his single 'Fancy' to make women feel special. Speaking to MTV, the rapper said that the clip is a tribute to the ladies. "It's just made to make women feel special," the 23-year-old said. He added: "It's a great performance video." Drake also revealed that 'Fancy' almost didn't make his latest album. The song was originally to be released on projects by both Mary J. Blige and Swizz Beatz, who produced the record. Drake can do no wrong at the moment so we eagerly anticipate the release of yet another Drake vid!
5. New music video: Roll Deep: ‘Green Light’
'Green Light' continues the London collective's more popular direction. The song contrast's Roll Deep’s street savvy lyrical twists with a throbbing electro bassline and the guest vocalist's hook driven vocals.
