The 54th Grammy's saw the triumphant return of Tottenham singer Adele from vocal cord surgery to perform the infamous 'Rolling In The Deep'. Not only that, Adele also picked up a whopping 6 awards on the night, equalling Beyoncé's record for any woman winning the most awards in one ceremony. The singer won (take a breath); The Best Short Form Of Music, Best Pop Vocal Performance, Best Pop Solo Performance, Song Of The Year, Album Of The Year and Record Of The Year.
The ceremony also paid a touching tribute to the late Whitney Houston by taking the time at the beginning of the night to pray. LL Cool J, the host for the night, led the pray by addressing everyone 'We've had a death in our family'. Still a shock to the system, everyone around paid their respects for Whitney’s passing including Mitch Winehouse who was invited on stage by Tony Bennett.
Other winners on the night include Kanye West who picked up the joint efforts of his three awards; Cee Lo Green was awarded with the Best Traditional R&B Performance and Best R&B Song for his single Fool For You. Finally, both Chris Brown (Best R&B Album F.A.M.E.) and Corinne Bailey Rae (Best R&B Performance for Is This Love) received an award each.
