MOBO TV only started at the back of 2010 but already the channel has a wide archive with some of the UK and the worlds leading Urban talent. From MOBO TV’s first acoustic session with the wonderful Natalie Williams back in October 2010, we have learned a lot and have successfully delivered consistent acoustic sessions and interviews every MOBO Monday’s since April. We could never have seen the impact the channel has made when we first started out but with many more sessions, interviews and some new projects under way, 2012 looks set to cement MOBO TV stature in bringing the latest interviews from up and coming artists and acoustic sessions from so of the biggest artists around. 10. Wretch 32 Interview

Back in April, the talk of the town was Wretch 32. Still relatively unknown, Wretch 32 preformed for us his track Unorthodox which as we all know, made him one of the big names for 2011 and would see the man grab four MOBO Award nominations.

9. Mike Hough The Lazy Song Cover

Our second acoustic session with the promising Mike Hough saw something special when the MOBO Nominee for Best R&B/Soul Act preformed a cover of Bruno Mars’s The Lazy Song. Remarkable.

8. Professor Green & Emeli Sandé Red Carpet

Our first trip at the MOBO Awards 2011 sees us on the red carpet with both Professor Green and Emeli Sandé who would go on for a world class performance on the night.

7. Master Shortie Social Groups

After the awards show, we caught up with Master Shortie where he performed his new track Social Groups. Listening to the original, you wouldn’t think this track could be converted into the acoustic format, but Master Shortie finds a way in this memorable acoustic session.

6. Guvna B I Need U

The 2010 MOBO Award winner Guvna B shows how Gospel Music is admired throughout the nation as this video has received over 33,000 views and counting.

5. Kairos 4Tet Acoustic Session

MOBO TV grabbed a master class of an acoustic session from Jazz Award winners Kairos 4Tet at Archer Street in South Soho. Bringing their full band with them, the whole team was dazzled by teh sheer force of the performance.

3. Jessie J Red Carpet

The highlight of the MOBO Awards 2011 was the incredible Jessie J. Up for 5 awards on the night; she walked away with 4, better than anyone in the shows history. We caught up with the woman before the show to see what she made of her chances.

2. Lioness Interview

Before the female MC joined forces with Jareth in their acoustic session, she took time out to chat with MOBO TV which started a string of female MC’s starring on MOBO TV. Lady Leshurr and Mz Bratt continued proceedings and even gave us a freestyle for good measure.

1. Estelle Interview

Now, you don’t often say superstar often but when you have an artist like Estelle in-front of you and everything the lady has achieved, it’s hard not to say it. Oozing with swagger, the diva in question was a saint when MOBO TV went to interview her after all the years the Award show had shown her love.
